 The
Starkweather Brass, formed in
2010 by members of the Canton
Symphony, is quickly emerging in
Northeast Ohio and nationally as
a young, exciting and engaging
chamber group with recitals and
concerts throughout Northeast
Ohio. Comprised of five
accomplished classical
musicians, the Starkweather
Brass enjoys performing at
schools, churches, and concert
halls for audiences large and
small. Performing a varied
program including many works
originally written for brass
quintet, as well as many lively
and touching transcriptions, a
Starkweather Brass program
includes something for every
listener. Passionate educators,
our members include faculty
members of Kent State University
and Malone University, and teach
privately throughout the region.
In March, the Starkweather Brass
will be featured in a prominent
concert series in Jefferson
City, MO, marking the beginning
of their new relationship with
national talent management
company, Steiner Talents, Inc.
