MSI Premiere Composer, Lennie Green, MSI Bass
Lennie
Green (MSI Baritone)
is a life-long
resident of Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Central High
School in 1964, after which he received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Music Education from the University of
Akron in
1969. He later earned a Masters Degree in Performance from
the University of Akron in 1982 whiled working as an
elementary teacher in Akron Public Schools. Lennie retired
from teaching after 32 years of service. Mr. Green has sung
in the Akron Symphony Chorus and the Summit Choral Society.
He has performed with the Akron Symphony Orchestra and was
the baritone soloist at the First Congregational Church of
Akron with Dr. Farley K. Hutchins. While attending the
Arlington Church of God, for well over forty years, he has
consistently been an active member in both the Chancel Choir
and the Men’s Chorus. Mr. Green now tutors math at The
Academy at Robinson and spends much of his leisure time
composing music for choir and solo voice. He is married to
the lovely Maxine Green and they have raised four children. |
