MSI Accompanist, Ken Zach

Ken Zach, who returns for a second tour of duty as MSI Accompanist, studied piano under Mignon Bennett and Voice under George Vassos at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University. He founded the Instrumental Music Program at Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills Ohio, served as its Music Department Chair, was interim Music Director at The Church in Silver Lake, toured briefly with the revised Glenn Miller Orchestra as Pianist, taught piano for the Preparatory Department of CIM, as well as area music stores, and has been a substitute organist for the First Congregational Church in Tallmadge Ohio. He left the professional side of the music business to pursue a career in IT, which lasted more than 20 years and currently works for the Western & Southern Financial Group as a Registered Representative. Ken resides in Silver Lake with his wife Mimi and Duke the Dog. Daughter Christina graduated from Bluffton University and now resides in Tennessee with her husband Adam. Son David is a Math Major at Kent State and has sung Tenor with MSI.
